Akita is ready to be friends with all members of the family, but under one important condition – people should treat her with respect and respond to her in return. This dog always appreciates a good attitude towards him, but it’s very easy to hurt her feelings. Although the whole appearance of the Akita indicates its independence and unwillingness to listen to others, it is not. She is absolutely not inclined to dirty tricks and pleasures. Akita is a very obedient and even resigned dog.
To strangers or to potential “enemies” Akita refers with hidden disbelief. She never shows off her vigilance and alertness. Things get a lot harder when there is another dog nearby. Whether it’s just a neighborhood dog for a walk or a new pet, an Akita will always see him as his enemy, who is encroaching on her “sacred” territory. In this case, it does not hide its aggression and can immediately rush into battle. Perhaps it is an innate sense of dominance over other quadrupeds. This is another negative trait of character, when even the most beloved owner is unable to stop his pet.
